BSL Buytech builds systems that safely retire used technology. When an office values a laptop, wipes a phone, or returns a whole refresh lot, information travels across our desk. This policy tells you what personal data moves through that counter, why we receive it, how long we keep it, and what rights you hold over it. Plain language sits beside every legal phrase so you can rely on this document without a law degree.

Section 1: Overview of This Policy

This privacy policy describes the personal information practices of BSL BUYTECH LLC and of the developer brand BSLBuytech that operates the public counter. The policy governs the site at www.bslbuytech.hair, the email address agent@bslbuytech.hair, and the phone line +16674675515. It covers data given to us on paper intake slips, through the web contact form, over the phone, and during the physical intake and grading of business technology.

We wrote this document to be honest about privacy. We collect only what the work needs. We keep data only as long as the work, the law, or your own records require. We never sell personal information. When your privacy and a marketing need ever collide, privacy wins, because a buyback business survives on trust, not on databases.

Read the whole policy before you engage the desk. If any term is unclear, email agent@bslbuytech.hair and we will answer in plain English before you send anything sensitive our way.

Section 2: Who We Are

We are BSL BUYTECH LLC, a company registered in the United States. Our registered location and the address of the buyback counter is 3673 W Belfort Dr, West Valley - 84120-5507, United States (US). The developer name BSLBuytech refers to the persons who built and maintain the systems behind this desk, and that brand acts on behalf of the company where this policy refers to a developer.

We operate within the Computer Integrated Systems Design industry under the Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services sector. In practice this means we build and run the coordination, intake, grading, wiping and reporting systems that give used technology a second working life. The company is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can raise any privacy request with us at agent@bslbuytech.hair or at the office address above.

Our phone number +16674675515 reaches the desk during the hours published on our contact page. When you call, we may ask for enough detail to identify the equipment you hold and to prepare an accurate valuation.

Section 3: Scope and Audience

This policy applies to individuals and to the employees, managers and representatives of businesses that contact BSL Buytech. It covers prospective customers who request a quote, existing customers who ship or deliver equipment, vendor contacts who coordinate onward resale, and any visitor who reads this site. If you only browse the public pages and send us no information and accept no cookies, we will still hold a brief web log entry as described later in this policy.

The policy does not cover the practices of any third party you reach through a link on our site. When a button or a link leaves www.bslbuytech.hair, that destination owns its own privacy promise. We recommend that you read the privacy policy of any site you visit from our pages.

The rules here also reach the equipment you send us. Business devices often carry personal files, cached credentials, address books, messages and meeting records. Even when we treat that data as technical debris to be wiped, its protection matters, and Sections 9 and 11 describe how we safeguard it while it sits on our counter.

Section 4: Data We Collect

We collect only the categories of personal information below, and we collect each category only when the activity genuinely needs it.

  • Identity and contact data such as your name, your company name, a work email address, a phone number and a delivery or billing address.
  • Transaction data recording the items you offered, the quote we wrote, the accepted price and the method and date of any payout.
  • Equipment and serial data drawn from the devices you send, including manufacturer, model, serial number, storage details and a written condition note from intake.
  • Technical data such as an IP address, a browser type and a visited page, gathered by standard web server logs when you browse the site.
  • Correspondence data stored when you email us, call us or message through the contact form, kept so we can answer and can resolve any later dispute.
  • Compliance data collected when we must verify identity or a right to act, or when a law or a contract requires us to hold evidence of a consent choice or a transaction.

We never request sensitive categories such as government identifiers, health information, racial or religious data or financial account credentials beyond what a payout method requires. Do not send such data in a subject line or a message body. If you accidentally do, we will delete it where we can and will treat it no less carefully than anything else in this policy.

Section 5: How Data Is Collected

Most data arrives directly from you. When you fill in the contact form, we receive whatever you type into the name, email, subject and message fields. When you call +16674675515 we write down only what the quote needs. When you email agent@bslbuytech.hair your message and our reply live in the exchange thread.

Data also arrives with the equipment. A laptop may carry a service tag, a registered owner name, or a network file that identifies a previous user. We record the serial and the model on an intake slip, but we do not dig through personal files unless a wipe or a grade check requires access, and then only to the extent the work demands.

Finally we collect some technical data automatically. When your browser asks the site for a page, the server may log an IP address, a time, a page name and a browser signature. Section 12 explains these logs in full. We do not combine that log with marketing identities, and we do not build a profile of anonymous visitors.

Section 6: How We Use Your Data

We use personal information for a short and purposeful list of jobs. We use it to quote a fair trade-in value, to schedule and confirm a pickup, to receive and log your equipment, to wipe drives to the certificate standard, to grade units and to pay you the agreed amount. We use it to answer your questions and to keep the promised record of any disposal certificate.

We also use data for internal record keeping that protects you. We keep a running asset ledger so that a claimed device can be traced, so an auditor can trust a certificate, and so that if a dispute arises we can prove what arrived and what left the counter. We may use an anonymized view of transaction totals for planning, but that view never names you.

We do not sell your personal information to any party. We do not use personal data to build advertising audiences. We do not send marketing mail unless you have asked for a quote follow up, and even then we stop the moment you say to stop.

Section 7: Legal Bases for Processing

Laws in different places ask a company to name the legal basis for processing personal data. We rely first on performance of the contract you enter when you request a quote or accept a buyback. Without your contact and equipment details we could not value, pick up, wipe or pay, so this basis carries most of the ordinary work.

Where no contract exists, such as a first enquiry before any quote is accepted, we rely on our legitimate interest in answering prospective customers and in keeping a simple record of who contacted us and why. That interest is balanced against your privacy; we keep pre-contract messages short and we delete them when the enquiry clearly ends.

Where the law demands it, we may gather or hold data to meet a legal obligation, such as tax records, invoice storage or a court order. Finally, where local law requires an explicit consent for a specific activity such as marketing or certain cookies, we obtain that consent and honor any later withdraw of it. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing agent@bslbuytech.hair.

Section 8: When We Share Information

We share personal information only when the task or the law requires it, and never for pay. We share with payment processors the minimum needed to pay you, such as a payout amount and the account routing you supplied. We share with carriers the delivery address and a contact number only when shipping recovered equipment and only to the party who will receive a shipment.

We share with vetted resale and refurbishment partners the serial, model and grading outcome of business equipment they will buy, because a buyer needs to know exactly what they are receiving. That sharing covers machine identity and condition, not your personal contact details, unless you and the partner are the same office performing a direct trade.

If we ever sell the trade books of the company, a successor may receive the transaction records so the business can continue to honor certificates and warranties. That successor will be bound to follow this policy or one at least as protective. We disclose personal data to lawyers, accountants or authorities only where a contract, a law or a court order gives us no better option.

Section 9: Business Asset Information

The machines we receive are not containers for your privacy; they are a record of it. Laptop storage may hold contracts, spreadsheets of wages and the browsing history of a whole team. A wiped device should be wiped, and we take that duty beyond the strict letter of the law. We run a certified erase on every drive before a grade is recorded for onward sale, and we keep the certificate as the proof of that clean.

Before the wipe runs we need only serial, model and condition to do our work, not your file contents. If a grade test must read enough of a drive to confirm it is functional and unencrypted, that read is limited to the diagnostic pass the test requires. We do not catalogue, copy or mine the personal files that a departing employee left behind.

Where the account owner asks us to preserve evidence of an investigation, a recovery attempt or an audit, we will only access storage under that written instruction and we will document every touch so the chain stays clear. Any data we must hold for that purpose is held under the same security and retention rules as all other personal data in this policy.

Section 10: Data Retention

We keep personal information no longer than the purpose for which it was collected. A quote request that never becomes a deal is kept only long enough to answer follow up questions and is then retired. Completed transactions keep their record long enough to satisfy tax, warranty and certificate duties, which usually means several years, because an auditor can arrive well after a payout.

Web server logs are held briefly, only to keep the site safe and to diagnose faults, and are not a storehouse of visitor identity. Phone recordings, where any exist under local notice rules, are held only for the working window that a dispute could raise.

When a record reaches the end of its life we delete it securely or make it anonymous so no person can be identified from it. Data on drives that leave the desk has already been wiped at the bench per Section 9. You can ask us about the retention length for a specific record by writing to agent@bslbuytech.hair.

Section 11: How We Protect Data

Protection of personal and business data is a product feature at BSL Buytech, not an afterthought. Our systems limit internal access to the named people at the desk who need it to quote, wipe, grade and pay. Every internal handoff of a device or a record leaves a trace we can audit.

Files and emails that touch personal data are kept in access-controlled accounts guarded by strong unique credentials. Physical media waiting to be wiped is stored out of plain sight, and any device that must travel carries the same care we would want for our own equipment. Where the law or a customer contract asks for a documented security practice, we happily share the relevant control summary under a mutual confidentiality promise.

No method of storage is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security against a determined attacker. If a breach ever touches your personal data we will notify you without unreasonable delay and will follow the reporting steps that the law of your location requires.

Section 12: Cookies and Web Logs

The site www.bslbuytech.hair is designed to work well without tracking you. We do not set advertising cookies and we do not install cross-site tracking pixels. When your browser requests a page, our hosting service writes a standard log entry that records the requested page, a timestamp and an IP address that your network assigned for that request.

We use those logs to keep the site reliable, to block hostile traffic and to see in broad terms which pages are read. We do not join a log entry to an individual identity and we do not use logs to build a profile. The brief log window described in Section 10 keeps even this modest trace short lived.

Some optional conveniences, such as remembering a chosen theme or keeping a draft form, would use a small local storage flag inside your own browser, which you may clear at any time. Because the site works fine without those conveniences, no essential cookie is forced on you to read the public pages.

Section 13: Third Party Services

We lean on a small set of trusted service providers to run the desk. These include our domain and hosting provider, our payment partner, a carrier for any shipped recovery, and any auditor who reviews our certificates. We choose each provider partly on how they protect data, and our agreements with them require that they use the data only for the job we hand them.

These providers may process data in data centers located in the United States or abroad. Each remains responsible for the security of its own systems, and each must follow the law of the place where it operates. We do not grant any provider the right to sell or harvest the data it touches for us.

If a provider location or practice changes in a way that affects your data, we update this policy and, where the change matters to your rights, we alert you through the contact details we hold.

Section 14: Privacy for Children

BSL Buytech does not direct its services to children, and our trade-in desk accepts only equipment that an adult or a business owns and is authorized to release. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16, and we do not build audience profiles aimed at that group.

If you believe a child has sent us personal information, perhaps in a stray message, tell us at agent@bslbuytech.hair and we will delete it without delay where the law allows us to forget the record. We ask the same of any employee or visitor who forwards data on behalf of a child: do not send it unless a parent or a guardian holds the authority.

Section 15: Cross Border Transfers

The office at 3673 W Belfort Dr, West Valley - 84120-5507, United States (US) stores records in the United States, and our hosting and provider arrangements may carry the same records inside connected infrastructure in a few regions worldwide. A record you send to us may therefore cross a national border as it travels to the counter and from the counter onward.

We select providers that apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards wherever they process data, so the protection in this policy travels with the data rather than being pinned to one address. When a regional law imposes a particular transfer safeguard, we apply the measure that the law expects before the transfer happens.

Section 16: Your Rights

Depending on where you live, the law gives you rights over the personal data we hold. You may have the right to request a copy of the data we hold about you, to ask for a correction where it is wrong, and to ask for it to be deleted where the retention window has served its purpose. You may ask us to limit how we use it while a dispute is settled, and you may ask to receive a portable copy in a readable form.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time and we will stop the consented activity. Where we rely on a legitimate interest, you can object and we will weigh your objection fairly against the stated task. To exercise any of these rights, write to agent@bslbuytech.hair and identify yourself and the transaction in question.

We will respond within the window the law of your location sets, usually no more than one month. Before we release a copy of records we verify that the asker is the true account owner, because handing data to the wrong party would itself be a privacy failure. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority if you disagree with how we answered a request.

Section 17: Your Choices

You control how much you hand us in the first place. You may browse the public pages without any contact details, you may ask a question on the phone without a formal quote, and you may send a written valuation request by post instead of by email if that suits your office. Every contact is a choice you make.

You set the contact preferences that follow. If you only want the single answer to a single question, say so and we will not write again. If you would welcome a reminder ahead of your next refresh, tell us the cadence and we will respect it until you change the plan. You may update, correct or pause any of these choices at any time.

The business side offers choices too. You decide whether a lot is picked up or delivered, whether you want one consolidated certificate or per device certificates, and whether a payout lands by the method you already used or a new one you add for the deal. We build the desk to follow your instructions, not the other way around.

Section 18: Notice for California Residents

California law grants residents a set of specific rights. If you live in California you may ask us what categories of personal data we collected about you, the business purpose of that collection, the categories of recipients, and the specific pieces of data we hold. We will answer the required categories even where the answer is that we hold very little.

We do not sell personal data as the term personal data sale is used in California privacy law, and we have not sold it in the past twelve months. We do not share personal data for cross context behavioral advertising, because we do not run that form of advertising. You have the right to opt out of any such sale or sharing, and since we do neither, there is nothing to opt out of today.

California residents may also ask us to delete personal data subject to the usual exemptions, such as a record we must keep to complete a transaction or to meet a tax duty. To make a verifiable request, contact agent@bslbuytech.hair with enough detail to confirm you are the person the record belongs to. We will not treat you differently because you exercised a right.

Section 19: Notice for Utah Residents

Utah privacy law gives residents control over their personal data. If the rules apply to a request you make from the state, you may ask us to confirm what we process, to correct inaccurate data, to delete it subject to the allowed exceptions, and to provide a portable copy. You may also ask us to stop processing for certain purposes where the law allows an objection.

Because our office sits at 3673 W Belfort Dr in West Valley, and because many of the offices we serve lie along the Wasatch Front, we treat Utah privacy expectations with special care. We do not process personal data for targeted advertising against your wishes, and we do not sell it. We apply these protections to Utah residents by default rather than waiting to be asked.

To exercise a Utah right, write to agent@bslbuytech.hair. We will verify your identity, act within the statutory window, and send you a plain language answer to any refusal so you can appeal it to the appropriate authority.

Section 20: Changes to This Policy

We update this policy when the work, the law or the technology changes. When a change is material, such as a new category of data, a new sharing partner or a new data use, we revise the effective date at the top of this page and we describe the change clearly so a returning reader can spot it. Minor edits for clarity carry no special banner.

Where a change narrows an existing privacy promise in a way the law says requires notice, we will notify you through the contact details we hold before the narrower rule takes effect, and we will give you a fair window to withdraw from any affected arrangement.

The version posted on this page at the date of your transaction is the version that governed that transaction, so we encourage you to keep your own copy if a single record matters to your compliance file. You may request a copy of any past policy version from agent@bslbuytech.hair.

Section 21: Contacting BSL Buytech

Questions, requests and complaints about privacy all arrive at the same counter. Write to agent@bslbuytech.hair or call +16674675515. You may also send a letter to BSL BUYTECH LLC at 3673 W Belfort Dr, West Valley - 84120-5507, United States (US). Please mark any letter with the word Privacy so it reaches the right desk quickly.

When you write, tell us what you need in plain words, such as a copy of your record, a correction, a deletion or a clear explanation of one section. We will treat every request seriously, verify that we are speaking to the right person, and answer without charging you for the first copy of your own data.

If you believe we have not answered fairly, you may complain to the privacy authority of your state or country. Our commitment is to make that last step rare by resolving the first one properly.

Section 22: Effective Date

This Privacy Policy is effective as of 5 September 2026. It supersedes any earlier version that BSL BUYTECH LLC or the brand BSLBuytech may have published. By continuing to use the desk after this date you accept the terms that follow, so please read them once more before you entrust us with a single drive.

Thank you for reading. A policy that is understood is a promise that is kept, and that is exactly the standard we bring to every used laptop, every wiped phone and every cleared line on the asset register.
